WESTERN CAPE – Two suspects aged 49 and 38 were arrested in Cape Town on Wednesday for contravening the Marine Living Resources Act.
Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team together with Crime Intelligence as well as officials from the Department of Forestry Fisheries and Environmental Affairs (DFFE) in Cape Town conducted a search and seizure at Westhoves Street Edgemead and uncovered shucked and semi cooked abalone as well as dried abalone.
