Media personality Lerato Kganyago went on to Twitter to express the disappointment she has in black ladies for being mean towards Rachel Kolisi. The radio DJ received a bit of backing from some tweeps. However, some tweeps felt as if she is painting black people in a certain picture.
“A lot of Black Women being so unnecessarily mean towards Rachel Kolisi makes me cringe! Says a lot about us! [I don’t understand] why [we are like this] ! [Its embarrassing],” says Lerato Kganyago. Hulisani Ravele commented by saying, “And then they’ll say “relax, it’s just a joke”, and it’s not.” One tweep says, “Lerato is 100% right. Fix your hearts. Your entitlement to Siya is weird.” One tweep says, “There’s nothing wrong with what Lerato said. She’s addressing the matter instead of bashing women and that’s how its done.”
One tweep says, “Lerato Kganyago didn’t say anything wrong. Disrespect also comes in jokes, those people are married and have kids.” One tweep says, “Y’all! Know Lerato is right but you won’t admit.” One tweep says, “There is absolutely nothing wrong with what Lerato said.” Some tweeps were not for what Lerato Kganyago said. “Lerato’s tweet is now opening room for Black men and patriarchy princesses to tweet trash about Black women and paint Black women as these vile and jealous beings,” says one tweep.
