LIMPOPO – The 29-year-old man is expected to appear in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court outside the City of Polokwane on Monday, 23 November 2020 following his arrest for corruption on Friday, 20 November 2020.
The suspect allegedly approached a police officer from Seshego police station who was investigating a drunken driving case against him and he offered R1500.00 gratification in order to derail the investigations. The matter was reported to the Police and an undercover operation was conducted. The suspect was arrested at Seshego police station immediately after handing over R1500.00 gratification to the police officer. The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Major General Christine Morakaladi has warned all the people who are still perpetrating any of form of corruption especially in trying to bribe members of the South African Police Service that, they are going to meet the full might of the law. The police investigations are still continuing. |
