A man has been apprehended for the killing of a woman in KwaZulu-Natal. The woman was reportedly suffocated with clothing and then burnt while her daughter looked. The 40-year-old Kwazulu-Natal woman, Delisile Ngongoma, was allegedly approached by two people who got into her house in Jolivet on Saturday evening.
Captain, Nqobile Gwala, the KwaZulu-Natal provincial police spokesperson, says detectives went on an operation looking for the people who killed the lady. The operations team got to apprehend a 32-year-old suspect that they found in Jolivet. The suspect was due to appear at the Phungashe Periodical Court on Monday. The woman was burnt on the upper part of her body.
The police spokesperson says, “The deceased’s daughter, who witnessed the incident, immediately alerted neighbours. The lifeless body of the victim was found partially burnt on the upper body.” Captain Nqobile Gwala says a case of murder was opened at the Highflats police station so that there would be more examinations in the matter. The police officials are still looking for the other suspect that was involved in the murder of the 40-year-old woman, Delisile Ngongoma.
