A 33-year-old man was arrested in Upington CBD on Saturday, 11 July 2020. The K9 member, Sergeant Horace Burden was on patrol when he noticed a suspicious looking man wondering around the street with luggage.
He approached him to interview him and eventually requested to search his luggage whereby 32kg of dagga was found in the bag. He was arrested and detained in Upington cells for Dealing in Dagga. The dagga is estimated at R227 340-00.
He will soon appear before the magistrate court.
