Man arrested for possession of suspected mandrax

NORTHERN CAPE – A 36-year-old man was arrested by Kimberley Crime Prevention members while busy with stop and search operation on Sunday, 10 May 2020 at approximately 09:50, at Schmidtsdrift Road Hiking Spot.

It is alleged that the suspect was standing at the hiking spot when he was approached by the police officers whom found 64 suspected Mandrax tablets in his possession valued at R4 020-00.

The suspect was arrested and detained for possession of suspected Mandrax and will soon appear at the Kimberley Magistrates Court.
