The unidentified man, who was seen wandering on the motorway in North Lanarkshire in Scotland, caused traffic jams for miles as cars driving in both directions had to slow down to avoid hitting the daredevil.
The thrill seeker, who was dressed in just a pair of tartan print boxer shorts, walked up to a car as it slowed to a halt and decided to lay on the bonnet as the driver looked on in bewilderment.
The man is now believed to be in hospital receiving treatment for a head injury, according to the Metro newspaper.
