Man Stabbed To Death At Hospital While He Was Being Treated For Stab Wounds At Eastern Cape. A man was murdered by an anonymous person while he was being treated for a stab injury at the All Saints Hospital, in the Eastern Cape, according to police on Sunday.
A man was murdered by an anonymous person while he was being treated for a stab injury at the All Saints Hospital, in the Eastern Cape, according to police on Sunday. Captain Namhla Mdleleni, the police spokesperson, says the event happened at about 3am on Sunday. The 23-year-old man was allegedly in the casualty section getting stitches.
“It is alleged that the deceased was at casualty section of the hospital waiting to be stitched on his stab wounds, when an unknown man came and stabbed him to death,” says Captain Namhla Mdleleni. Sizwe Kupelo, the Eastern Cape Health Department spokesperson, states that when the doctors were busy helping the man, a man who was holding a knife stormed in and wanted to finish the man off. 10 guards are put in different places of the hospital; however, the man coerced his way through by the casualty security by taking out a knife.
“The doctor and nurses ran for their lives, while the security guards could not prevent the man from stabbing the patient to death.” The man ran away from the place of the incident before police officials could get there states the Eastern Cape Health Department spokesperson. He also states that the workers that have seen the stabbing incident will get counselling for the trauma experienced. The police are examining the matter.
