MDANTSANE – Drug trade in Mdantsane was dealt a big blow by the concerted efforts of Mdantsane crime prevention members when they arrested two suspects for possession of one hundred and eighty eight (188) Mandrax tablets and five small packets of tik in Highway shopping centre on Wednesday 28 October 2020.
Police pounced on the two unsuspecting women suspects and arrested them for possession of Mandrax and Crystal Meth (tik), after a long suspicion that they were selling drugs around Highway shopping centre, Mdantsane.
Police confiscated 188 Mandrax tablets and 5 Crystal Meth (tik) packaged in small plastic bags.
Furthermore, cash to the value of R420-00 was also seized. The estimated street value of the drugs is R7 770-00
The two suspects aged 24 and 45 are due to appear in the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of possession of drugs.
