Medical personnel were reportedly held hostage by a group of suspects yesterday evening, 15 May 2022 at Belfast on the Spitzkop Road, after they responded to an emergency call. Little did the medical staff know that this was an orchestrated robbery. The suspects stripped the ambulance of vehicle parts worth an estimated R300 000.
Police at Belfast urge the public to assist with information on the whereabouts of the suspects by calling Captain Tobias Mogadime at 071 353 6763 or call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. Alternatively members of the community can send information via the My SAPS App.
