The event was held at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre in Malawi.
The muscular security guard was seen with the craziest armour that involved a spiked helmet and spiked shoulder pads. The task force officer was ready for an incident. The officer then upstaged himself by wearing sunglasses, a gas mask and four torches that were attached to his headgear.
The United Kingdom’s Sun newspaper headline says, “Wouldn’t mess World’s scariest bodyguard kitted out with bizarre spiked jacket, gas mask, assault rifle and two pairs of sunglasses at Malawi president’s swearing in ceremony.”
The bodyguard held his position on top of the president’s SUV vehicle. Mutharika was welcomed into office on Tuesday. He beat his tough competitors Malawi Congress Party’s Lazarus Chakwera and UTM’s Saulos Chilima in the presidential race.
