GAUTENG – Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Trafficking in Persons task team found a 16-year-old missing girl in Orlando East on 22 September.
The girl was reported as missing in Johannesburg by her family a week ago.
The investigation team followed on information which led them to Cape Town where she was suspected to have been.
She was found safe at a restaurant having lunch with friends.
Procedurally the girl was given medical attention and taken to a place of safety for observation.
The investigation will be looking into circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
