The Nelson Mandela Bay District Family Violence, Sexual offences and Child Protection unit (FCS) are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a 12 year old girl Gerchlene Samson who is missing since Saturday 21 August 2021.
It is alleged that on the abovementioned date at approximately 09:00, Gerchlene informed her mother that she is going to visit an aunt, not too far from her home in Khans Ground, Missionvale. At around 10:00 her mother went looking for her, but she had left the house of the aunt. They searched all over for her and visited her friends but was unable to trace her. On Wednesday, 25 August 2021 her mother reported her missing at SAPS Algoa Park.
She was wearing a pink top with a printed black female character, blue pants and blue flip flops at the time.
Police is appealing to anyone who can assist in locating Gerchlene Samson, to urgently contact D/Sgt Timothy Minyayo on 071 475 1731or Crime Stop 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
