Mitchells Plain Man Gets R61 Million In His Second Lotto Win. A man from Mitchells Plain in Western Cape won R61 million in the National Lottery draw of the 27th of July.
A man from Mitchells Plain in Western Cape won R61 million in the National Lottery draw of the 27th of July. The man bought a R20 quick pick ticket from the Total petrol station at Highlands Park. “My family will never suffer again,” says the man. This is reportedly not the man’s first time with luck by his side.
Seven years back, the man got R75 000, that he used to construct a four-roomed house for his family. Before he got the R75 000, he used to live in a backroom with his significant other and his children. He says before the R61 million, he had a tumultuous time. He went on to explain that he was unemployed for about five years. The man told the National Lottery operator, Ithuba that “I had not been working for the past five years, until I got a contract job early this year. Although this job is difficult and demands excessive physical strength, I was grateful to be able to help to put food on the table for my family.”
The man says he will be able to build a bigger house where he each of his children can have their own bedroom. He also went on to say that most of the money will be invested so that his family doesn’t suffer again. He also revealed how he gets his winning numbers. “When I play a quick pick selection method and the ticket doesn’t win, I never throw it away. I always use that ticket to carefully pick my next set of numbers. It is usually the numbers that did not come up in the previous draws. I have a drawer full of lottery tickets and each time I want to select my own numbers , I pull them out and use them as clues to guess the winning numbers,” says the man.
The man and his significant other say that they won’t stop their employment instantly because they don’t want any suspicions. “We will keep a low profile ad progress gradually.” The man went on to say that he will keep on playing the lottery.
