Mzansi In A Frenzy After White South African Gets His Language Pronunciation Wrong. The male who spoke behind him, and said that white male was being somehow racist for using the clicks in pronouncing Xhosa, also said that he should leave the clicks at home.
A video surfaced of an apparent white South African male on a dating show in the United States of America. The male explains to his date that South Africa has 11 official languages. However, the way he pronounces the languages is not really that great.
The male who spoke behind him, and said that white male was being somehow racist for using the clicks in pronouncing Xhosa, also said that he should leave the clicks at home. The white male made matters worse by ruining the pronunciation of the isiZulu by calling it Sisulu. Some of the people on the Twitter streets were frustrated by the male’s pronunciation of the African languages.
One tweep said: “He must stay there and never come back.” Another tweep said: “You brag about 11 languages but can’t even pronounce them correctly? Sit down Marikie!” Another tweep said the male was corny and says “the ignorance is real and double stds when it suites some to be proudly SA. Pure misrepresentation of SA and Africa as a whole.” One tweep says, “I was watching this with my daughters and the younger one was screaming at this man’s ignorance and somewhat stupidity saying this guy shouldn’t have even bothered.”
However, other tweeps just made jokes about his mispronunciation, especially when he said “Sisulu”. One tweep said: “…Sisulu is a language.” One tweep asked, “What is Sesulu…?” Another also asked if South Africans speak “Sisulu”. The male’s mistake became the talk of the internet, well hopefully he gets back on the correct horse now.
