One social media user posted two photos of two different children. The social media user user said that the child on the left is the one you pray to get and the other child on the right is the one you give birth to. The user caption the photos saying, “The kids you pray for VS The kids you’d give birth to…If you don’t change that ugly bf/gf.”
Tweeps were not happy about the post that the person sent. Actress Bonnie Mdluli said: “Wooooow! Ya’ll are hating on babies for clout now. The cruelty! Yhuuuuu msindisi (saviour), this just made me feel so sick.” Filmaker Ofentse Mwase posted a picture that hilariously advised the girl to take down the post.
One tweep said he won’t get frustrated by the post because this is the same thought that has been pushed towards people. The tweep said: “I really can’t even be made at this tweet because this kind of thought process is ingrained in us. By nature you deemed the light skinned child to be beautiful and the darkskinned child to be ugly.” One tweeps said that the social media user is stooping low for retweets. The tweep said: “Are we now dragging kids for retweets?? This is so low.”
One tweep said this type of behaviour is a form of colourism. The tweep said: “Colourism at its finest. You only think this kid looks better than the other one because it’s lighter in completion and has greener eyes.” One tweep says that the user has a lack of love. The tweep said: “Only people who lack love will behave like you. You lack love and it is showing.”
