Hip hop musician Nasty C went on social media for a bit of a rant, using a series of tweets, about the older generation’s mistakes. The String and Blings hit maker says the older generation stopped doing a lot of things that ensure that children are disciplined. He first started off talking about bullying, specifically cyber bulling, among the youth and how it leads to the rate of suicides.
“Generation before mine let their kids bully others on the internet & push them to commit suicide. Generation before mine made up excuses for not being on social media even if it meant leaving their kids against a bunch of hateful [people] & no guidance/protection,” says Nasty C. He went to say that the older generation also thinks that having small talks with their children in the car would prevent them from making wrong decisions.
The hip hop artist says the internet and the streets also have a huge part that they play in the lives of the youth. He went on saying that the older generation acts as if they don’t know that their children also get up to no good when the parents are not around to see them. Nasty C says, “Generation before mine acts like they don’t know that their kids only get up to no good when they’re not around. Like they don’t know that if they showed face [at] their kids’ school/social pages & corners where their kids carve their character, they could save them.”
He was also disappointed by the parents’ disciplinary actions towards their children. He says, “Generation before mine stopped whooping their kids. Went easy on them like they deserve it.” HE then went on saying that parents let their children control them. “Generation before mine let’s the lives that THEY brought into this world boss them around.” He went to say that the older generation should be raising their children in a proper manner, he also says that they should try and go on social media in order to understand the youth.
