Captain Mavela Masondo, the Gauteng police spokesperson, says the man is getting treatment according to reports.
“It is reported that the male is receiving treatment at Helen Joseph and the female was released into the care of her family,” says the Gauteng police spokesperson. The police officials didn’t open a criminal charge, according to Captain Mavela Masondo. The video made rounds on Sunday, portraying the man and woman walking about in the streets of Johannesburg. The woman who took a video of them asked if they are following a religion.
The man and woman approached the lady in her car and told her that he is Jesus ad needs a lift to Northcliff. The woman was in awe, the man responded by saying that Jesus is here and he is black. He thus gave the woman a second chance to agree to taking him to Northcliff, he gave her five seconds. However, the lady didn’t respond then they left. Anne Wood, the spokesperson of security organisation Beagle Watch, says they got a call from a representative of the public on Sunday, which could be the woman who recorded the video of the two.
