NORTHERN CAPE – The Northern Cape Police Management welcomed eight years jail term handed down on Jakobus Jooste, on count of attempted murder.
During court proceedings it came to light that on 02 June 2018, Jakobus Jooste Junior (36) went to his stepfather’s house and poured him with petrol and set him alight. Jakobus was arrested and charged with attempted murder. Jakobus’ stepfather was hospitalised for a period of two weeks, while receiving medical treatment. Jakobus was found guilty and sentenced to an effective eight years imprisonment by the Carnarvon Regional Court on Tuesday, 10 November 2020, on count of attempted murder.
