WESTERN CAPE – Following a business robbery in Zwelihle, Hermanus on Monday, 24 August 2020, members of the Overberg Anti-Gang Unit executed an operation and followed up vital information thereby arresting a 24-year-old suspect in Mount Pleasant. During the arrest the police recovered an amount of R24 500-00 from the suspect.
It is alleged that on Monday afternoon the suspect entered the spaza shop, threatened the owner with a firearm and took cash.
The amount confiscated is suspected to be the cash taken during the robbery.
