Businessman Patrice Motsepe was part of the gathering of the World Economic Forum in Switzerland this week. The Mamelodi Sundowns president was alongside Donald Trump. He told the United States of America president that Africa loves him. However, some of the people from the Africa Patrice Motsepe talks about seem to be denying it.
The businessman was seen in a video recording giving a little speech to Donald Trump at the World Economic Forum gathering in Davos, Switzerland. He also stated that the success of the United States of America is the success of the other countries in the world. “Africa loves America. Africa loves you. It’s very, very important. We want America to do well. We want you to do well. The success of America is the success of the rest of the world,” says Patrice Motsepe. As much as Donald Trump was happy with the statement, Africa didn’t seem to be happy with it. Black Twitter commented on the statement by the mining magnate.

He told this to Trump in his face.” One tweep says, “For sure when Patrice Motsepe said Africa loves Donald Trump he was referring to Africa Rainbow Minerals (ARM) not my mother continent.” One tweep says, “Trump literally threatened to kill us after watching a fake fox News report on imaginary SA white genocide and Motsepe tells the same guy that Africa loves him? African leaders are spineless no wonder western leaders disrespect us.”
