Pearl Thusi Responds To Fan Allegedly Downloading Pirated Version Of #QueenSono. Pearl Thusi has made African history by being the first African to have her own Netflix show with ‘Queen Sono’.
Pearl Thusi has made African history by being the first African to have her own Netflix show with ‘Queen Sono’. The show has received a lot of praise from people since the premiere and the actual release for the public. The star has politely asked her fans to not pirate her work.
The media personality says pirating the show might have a big outcome on other Netflix shows from Africa. One social media user, a fan, told the star that she would also support her. The fan was downloading the series through a sharing website. Pearl Thusi saw the tweet and politely asked the woman to not pirate the series. “Babe please don’t pirate our show. We worked so hard on it and the numbers via the platform itself will help the success of the show and other shows out of Africa on Netflix,” says Pearl Thusi.
Black Twitter responded to what the media personality told the tweep. One tweep says, “You dealt with this with required respect.” One tweep says, People don’t know how supporting a show works. For a show to continue running, it must have high viewing on the platform it is running on. So that means the less we watch the show on the platform its on, the viewing numbers reduce.”
