‘People’s Blesser’ Malcolm X Blesses Women At The Presidential Inauguration. The “people’s blesser” Malcolm X took the phrase of Thum Mina into his own hands at President Cyril Ramaphosa’s inauguration.
The “people’s blesser” Malcolm X took the phrase of Thum Mina into his own hands at President Cyril Ramaphosa’s inauguration. The entrepreneur had a lot of people in Mzansi on a frenzy when he gave some of the women that were lying on the ground as part of a traditional ceremony some money.
Malcolm X stood up and gave people over R10 000. The dance that the women were doing included lying down on the grass and they only had to stand up once people gave them money. TimesLive states that Malcolm X says the president wanted the dance to be part of his inauguration ceremony. Baleka Mbete acknowledged the plea. She also asked the people who were at the ceremony if they were inclined to pay the women to stand up.
Malcolm X told TshisaLive that he was willing to pay after he saw that people didn’t want to pay. Malcolm says, “No one volunteered to donate money to those women. So I raised my hand from the VIP stands, and loudly said, ‘thuma mina (send me)!’” He carried on saying that Baleka told him to come to the grass and the asked the director general to take him to the ladies. He then gave them R10 000.
The entrepreneur says he also wanted to offer the money to the guys as well but the culture only allows him to pay the ladies that were lying on the grass. Malcolm X also roasted the other rich people that didn’t want to give the woman anything as he did. The entrepreneur says, “I wouldn’t let those women spend another minute in the scorching sun while rich men were eating their nails, picking their noses and squeezing their pimples instead of donating some cash.”
