A rhino poacher had a gruesome death at the Kruger national Park. The rhino poacher was stamped by one elephant till it reached its demise, it then got devoured by a group of lions. The rhino poacher was one of five other poachers. The rest of the poachers were apprehended when they ran away from the incident. The group of poachers told the police how the event occurred.
They talked about how the elephant was infuriated and came out of nowhere when they followed the rhino. They also spoke about how the elephant crushed their accomplice till he died, allowing them some time to flee from the area. The rangers of the Kruger National Park sent their helicopter to go find the male’s body before it was night. They went out as soon as possible.
Don English, a Kruger National Park ranger, guided the team at the dawn of Wednesday to go find the man’s body again. The police officers tried getting the location, where the elephant stamped on the man, from the other group of poachers, to no avail. They found some of the man’s remains on Thursday but it seemed that the man was devoured by a group of lions.
What remained of the man were his head and some clothes. The Kruger National Park managing executive, Glenn Phillips, says, “Entering the Kruger illegally an on foot is not wise as it holds very many dangers and this incident is clear evidence of that.” He also says that it’s sad to his daughters crying at what is left of their father. The apprehended poachers are currently guarded by the police and will get a trial for poaching.
