Police seek public assistance in the investigation of two unrelated cases – Eastern Cape

SAPS Humewood opened an inquest when the body of a 21-year-old female was found - Eastern Cape

SAPS Sterkspruit detectives are seeking the communities’ assistance in the investigation of two unrelated cases.

In the first incident in October 2020 the body of a man was found at Tapoleng Village after he was assaulted. A murder case was opened and on further investigation his identity was established as MOSEOWA SEKONYELA however efforts to locate his family proved futile. It is suspected that he may be from Mohaleshoek, Lesotho.

In the second incident an inquest docket was opened on the 6 July 2020 when an elderly female was found dead inside a taxi at Caltex taxi rank in Sterkspruit. She was traveling with Phillip Kokoana also alleged to be from Lesotho.

If any person can assist the Sterkspruit Detectives in tracing the next of kin of the abovementioned deceased persons is asked to contact Sgt Sidusiso Vundisa on 083  925 01 82 or  051-611 9200.
