PORT ELIZABETH – Detectives at SAPS Algoa Park are searching for four suspects allegedly involved in the robbery and murder of a 23-year-old-man during the early hours of this morning, 04 November 2020.
It is alleged that at about 01:00, Denver Simons of Trooper Street in Balfour Heights and a friend were walking in Corsa Street when they were approached by four males. Two of the males are known to them. One of the suspects was armed with a firearm and the other three had knives. The four males threatened Simons and his friend before searching them. They took R10-00 from the friend and Simons’s cellphone and music box. When Simons refused to give the cellphone and music box, a scuffle ensued. He was fatally stabbed once in his neck. The suspects then ran away leaving the music box behind. Simons passed away on the scene.
A case of murder and robbery is under investigation.
In another unrelated incident, on 03 November 2020 at about 17:15 Stefano Rossouw (18) was seen walking with three unknown males in Jack Street, Missionvale. It is alleged that they were arguing about money. A short while later, Rossouw was found lying in a pool of blood by a member of the community. He sustained an open wound on his head.
A case of murder was opened for further investigation.
