The vigilance by Potchefstroom Flying Squad members led to apprehension of brothers, aged 30 and 38, late in the evening on Monday, 21 October 2019, for alleged murder of a 26-year-old woman.
According to information available at police disposal, the members were conducting routine patrol in the Industrial area, close to Ikageng when they spotted a suspicious Volkswagen Polo Vivo on Jeppe Street. The police made U-turn and attempted to stop the vehicle. However, a car chase ensued after the driver failed to stop. It is alleged that the car was found under a tree at Opaal Street.

The suspects who are also residents of Ikageng Location, will appear in the Potchefstroom Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 24 October 2019, facing a charge of murder.
