President Cyril Ramaphosa Tested Negative For Coronavirus. President Cyril Ramaphosa was said to have allegedly made contact with someone that has Covid-19 coronavirus.
President Cyril Ramaphosa was said to have allegedly made contact with someone that has Covid-19 coronavirus. So there was fear that the president that he might have contracted the virus. The South African president’s results have recently been released and he was found negative of the Covid-19 strain. On Thursday, president Cyril Ramaphosa stated that a decision was made for the results to be released to the public.
This was meant to let the South African citizens know that the president is in good health. Khusela Diko, president Cyril Ramaphosa’s spokesperson, says, “The president submitted for testing as a precautionary measure upon the advice of his physicians on Tuesday March 24 2020 and received his results last night.” Monday, the president publicised that there would be a 21 days lockdown that would begin at midnight on Thursday.
The spokesperson went on to say that the president has a meticulous public-connecting schedule. Khusela Diko goes on to say that during the past few weeks the president has been in meetings with a broad section of people from all walks life. President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to talk to African leaders about the reply from the continent to the coronavirus pandemic.
