PRETORIA – Two men aged 26 and 30 have been arrested in connection with the murder of a White River attorney, whose lifeless body was found inside his house on Monday, 19 October 2020.
The Nelspruit Serious Organised Crime Investigation team assisted by Nelspruit and White River detectives arrested the two men on Thursday, 22 October 2020 at Kabokweni. The deceased was allegedly shot and killed during a house robbery at Plaston wherein the suspects managed to steal cellphones, an IPad, jewellery and a sewing machine.
On Thursday the joint team received information of a transaction to sell off the stolen loot. The Hawks together with the detectives swiftly assembled and proceeded to the meeting place where they managed to observe the transaction which lead to the arrest of the suspects.
One cellular phone, an Apple IPad and the sewing machine which were all positively linked to the case were seized during the operation. The men are expected to appear in the White River Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 26 October 2020. Investigations are still continuing.
