On Wednesday, it was a sad day for people as they laid gospel star and Pastor Neyi Zimu to rest in Johannesburg. However, as people gathered to pay their final respects, Rasta went on to social media to show them what he does best. He painted a portrait of Neyi Zimu at his funeral but people were not feeling it.
The image didn’t seem to look like the gospel star. Some of them didn’t like the fact that he was doing a portrait at funeral. One tweep says, “Rasta at it again…somebody please take the brushes.” One tweep says, “I guess Rasta draws the inner person. The soul…” One tweep says, “…rasta can draw, I don’t know what’s his [problem] [but] he can draw. Maybe, he can’t get the picture he wants, he can’t get what’s in his mind at the moment but he can draw… he must just stop trying to draw people he must…concentrate on drawing other things.”
One tweep says, “Can someone [please] stop Rasta. I mean now its too much and it is a funeral . Can he just pray and give flowers to the family instead. One tweep says the artist draw another celeb that passed away instead of Neyi Zimu. “Rasta decided to draw Thami Shobede instead of [Neyi Zimu],” says the tweep. One tweep says, “Rasta is an artist. Someone once said an artist can look at you and draw a monkey and there is nothing you can do because it’s an interpretation of what he sees.” Neyi Zimu passed away on the 4th of December, he was being treated for a blood disorder that was impacting his skin.
