A man from Russia has allegedly filed for a lawsuit against technology giant Apple. The man has taken legal action against the organisation for moral harm, the man reportedly says that an iPhone application has made him gay. The man has filed for a lawsuit in Moscow in Russia.
He has reportedly asked for an estimate of R227 000. This after an event happened in which a cryptocurrency by the name of ‘GayCoin’ was sent through a smartphone application instead of the Bitcoin he asked for. Saphizat Gusnieva, the man’s legal representative, told AFP that the matter was serious and that his client was scared.The complainant says the cryptocurrency came with a note saying , “Don’t judge until you try.” This resulted in him trying out same-sex relationships.
“I thought, in truth, how can I judge something without trying? I decided to try same-sex relationships,” the man reportedly said. He says now he doesn’t know how to tell his parents that he has a boyfriend. “Apple has pushed me towards homosexuality through manipulation. The changes have caused me moral and mental harm,” says the man The legal representative of the man says the technology giant has a responsibility for their programmes even though the supposed exchange happened on a third-party application. According to the court’s details on their website, the man will be heard in court on the 17th of October.
