SA Police Officers Help Grandmother And 13-Year-Old After She Was Chased Away By Her Mom. The little girl was chased away from her home by her mother.
The KwaZulu-Natal police did a great deed for a 13-year-old girl and her grandmother. The little girl was chased away from her home by her mother. She was thus then sent to her grandmother in Umbumbulu by police officers.
Police officials arranged some clothes for the 13-year-old girl and her grandmother. The police officers also communicated with the councillor to have a new house built for the grandmother. The post was a response to the famous parody ‘Adv Barry Roux’ account on Twitter. The post stated that the police caught a boy stealing and when he told them his story, they assisted instead of apprehending him.
“Durban SAPS caught a boy stealing & they ask him why, he said he’s living alone with koko in unbearable situation with no food neither a roof to sleep, instead of arresting the boy Police went to see where he stays & they couldn’t help themselves but bringing something to eat,” says the ‘Adv Barry Roux’ account. Brigadier Jay Naicker, the KwaZulu-Natal spokesperson, also corrected it by noting that it was a 13-year-old girl who got into a supposed altercation with her mother. On top of asking the councillor to build the grandmother a new house, they also spoke with the municipality on helping the grandmother get electricity.
