The National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (NatJOINTS) has put necessary measures in place to ensure the safety and security of all international and local delegates who will be attending the 5th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban.
Residents of the eThekwini Metro, especially those residing within the vicinity of the ICC and the Durban Exhibition Centre are advised that movement in and around the area would be limited due to temporary road closures and controlled access to certain areas.
Walnut Road between AB Xuma and Bramfischer will be fully closed for the duration of the conference.
There will also be rolling road closures on Bramfischer Road between Stalwart Simelane and Prior Road.
The AB Xuma and Stalwart Simelane routes will also experience lane closures as a measure of controlling traffic and access through to the ICC.
Motorists and other road users are urged to find alternative routes and avoid the above mentioned routes and comply with the instructions from law enforcement officers.
