SESHEGO – The South African Police Service in Seshego joined by various stakeholders including Department of Education, NYDA, Department of Social Development, Mmakgoshi Mmanare Moloto Foundation, UNISA, University of Limpopo, Capricorn TVET, Polokwane Municipality, Kgalalelo Education Foundation and Capricorn Science academy hosted a crime awareness campaign and career exhibition at Moletjie Moshate Tribal hall today.
The purpose of the event was to mobilize Grade 12 learners from different villages of Moletjie and Mmotong to expose them to the various career opportunities available after they have completed their matric and also to alert them of different criminal activities that could hinder them from persuading their dreams.
Station Commander of Seshego, Brigadier Shirinda and Head of Visisble Policing Colonel Makhura encouraged learners to consider the SAPS as their career of choice and he further explained the various environments within the organisation.
Concluding their presentation, the duo addressed the learners on the following topics:
Bullying
Respect
The dangers of drugs, alcohol and substance abuse and
Teenage pregnancy.
The event was concluded with a prayer for divine intervention to guide and bless the learners to do well in their exams.
