Several suspects were arrested for various crimes during weekend operations in the Western Cape where several firearms and ammunition were also seized. Detectives also traced and arrested 623 wanted suspects.
The Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Thembisile Patekile commended the unrelenting efforts of all police officers involved in these operations in ensuring that unlicensed firearms and ammunition are removed from the streets.
