Shimza’s recent tweet about students, activism and politics revealed a lot. The DJ replied to a tweet as to why South African celebs don’t vocalise what they think about political issues. Shimza is not one to shy away from vocalising his perspectives about politics with his followers.
Yesterday he acknowledged tertiary students for doing something about the country’s future, for paving a path they want. Shimza also motivated his social media followers to vote on 8 May elections. Shimza replied to a comment from one of his followers about the concern she has about South African celebs not being involved in politics.
The follower named artists such as David and Kanye West as those who are who are vocal about their countries’ politics. The DJ replied to the fan by saying that its difficult for South African citizens because they get “slammed.” He also said that they would be accused of getting something from the political parties they join.
