Six people were found in a severe condition after they were suspected of being poisoned in Wetton in Cape Town. Russel Meiring, the ER24 spokesperson, told says that there were no known links between the six victims. It was further stated that the people were impacted by the suspected poison in between three or four different areas in the Wetton area.
They showed the same signs after consuming a substance that is not known. A person who was at the scene told News24 that the victims dropped at three different areas along the Wetton Road in Lansdowne. The city’s Law Enforcement Unit said officials were patrolling on Wetton Road. The officials were then told about three men and a lady who dropped at the bus stop. “They were receiving medical attention from paramedics on scene and one of them was experiencing convulsions. While the paramedics were treating them, it was reported that another person was lying on the pavement in Walnut Road and another on St Joseph’s Road and Wetton Road,” says Wayne Dyason.
The information is not fully known as of yet. However, Russel Meiring says it was thought be some type of poisoning event. The ER24 spokesperson states that paramedics got to the scene after in the noon. The poisoning victims were thus sent to closer hospitals.
