Skhumba Responds To Claims That He Is Not Funny. People have been debating about whether some of the South African tweeps are funny or not.
People have been debating about whether some of the South African tweeps are funny or not. The debate was started by one tweep. However, Skhumba Hlophe the comedian is not hurt by what people think about his sense of humour.
Skhumba told ‘TshisaLive’ that he doesn’t care about Twitter trolls because he knows that he has people that like his comedy. The comedian was trending the most of Tuesday and Wednesday after some people thought that he is not really funny. Skhumba Hlophe lashed back by stating that he gets bookings which results in getting the money in the bank. The comedian says, “I’ve done five one-man shows which were sold out countrywide. I have two television shows, Tripping with skhumba, a radio show at Kaya FM, Throwback Thursday and got many awards. I can’t control how people think or feel about me. First of all, Twitter is a small group of people, not the entire country, so I can’t focus on what they say.”
He noted that with the issues that the nation is currently facing, his sense of humour shouldn’t be the topic of discussion. He went on to say that he knows that he is good at what he does and doesn’t need people’s opinions. He also stated that when he does good deeds he doesn’t trend but he is trending because his jokes are not funny to some people. His followers also came to his defence on Twitter.
