South Africans Tell Shoprite To Voetsek! after revelations that the giant retailer pays it’s employees peanuts yet their CEOs take Bonuses in their millions. The retailer is said to make it’s employees work until 7-8pm daily with no transportation in the evening thus leaving it’s female employees vulnerable to crime and rape.
About 32000 Shoprite employees downed tools, according to the regional co-ordinator for the SA Commercial, Catering and Allied Workers Union (Saccawu) at Shoprite, Colin Tyhalidikazi
