KWAZULU-NATAL – The Port Shepstone Public Order Police conducted an intelligence driven operation aimed at eradicating the proliferation of illegal firearms in the Harding policing area. The operation, which was held yesterday, yielded positive results when police recovered firearms and arrested a 42-year-old man at his homestead in Madwaleni Reserve at KwaMachi.
Police recovered two 303 rifles, an AK 47 rifle and an assortment of 108 rounds of ammunition. The suspect was detained and charged for being in illegal possession of firearms and ammunition at Harding SAPS.
