A woman went on to Twitter to tell people about the moment she got robbed on her way home. The woman posted her comment on the famous “O jewa ke eng” statement by Keabetswe Jan. She was screaming, asking for help from the people in the streets. She says the people didn’t pay attention to her.
The thieves took her all of her bags including the bag that had her clothes in it. They also took her purse which had her Identity Document and her taxi money. “I got robbed today on my way home from res, they took my bags, the one with my clothes and the other one had my shoes and laptop, my purse with taxi fare and most importantly my ID, I cried for help but people were passing melike there’s nothing happenin,” says the tweep.
Tweeps comforted the woman in her replies. One tweep says they should be happy she was unharmed. The tweep says, “I’m sorry [you] went [through] all that, let’s thank God they left [you] unharmed [because] they kill others…People don’t wanna die Sis don’t blame them…Blame the criminals…We are on our own…”One tweep says, “Very sorry sis, I don’t understand people around here, I bet someone was shooting a video of the whole thing, and you are gonna probably see it on someone’s TL [Timeline] one-day, so sad.”
Other tweeps say that the same thing has happened to them. One tweep says he was robbed in March. The tweep says, “…the same thing happened to me in March but they also took all my certificates too. Be strong, you’ll get through this.” One tweep says he got robbed twice. “I got robbed two times there in SA no one care(s) when you ask for help…”
