Suspect apprehended for dealing in mandrax

WESTERN CAPE – Our efforts to root out the drug trade in this province, resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old drug dealer during the early hours of this morning in Mbelweni.
Members attached to the Winelands Cluster Crime Prevention Unit, Mbekweni police station and Paarl Crime Intelligence reacted on intelligence and conducted a search operation at the suspect’s abode in Bomvu Street and seized 1451 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R72500-00. He is expected to make his court appearance in Wellington on Monday.
