KWAZULU-NATAL – A 42-year-old man is set to appear at the KwaMsane Magistrate’s Court today for being in possession of counterfeit goods. On 16 July 2020 at 20:00, KwaMsane police were conducting crime prevention duties when they spotted a vehicle travelling at night.
The said vehicle was stopped and police informed the occupants that they were going to search the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, police discovered a large quantity of counterfeit Nike takkies with an estimated value of R200 000-00.
It is alleged that the suspect was traveling from Mozambique to Durban where he intended to sell the goods. He was placed under arrest for being in possession of counterfeit goods.
