EASTERN CAPE – A 37-year-old man was arrested by SAPS Mount Road members and detained on a charge of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
It is alleged that on Saturday 18 July 2020 at approximately 09:20, police were on the lookout for a VW Polo vehicle after receiving information. The vehicle was spotted in Holland Park and upon searching it, a firearm with six rounds of ammunition was found. The suspect could not provide a license for the firearm and he was arrested on a charge of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
