WESTERN CAPE – The determination by Harare police Anti Hijacking Team, to bring the perpetrators of carjacking’s to book, paid off when they arrested two suspects aged 37 and 58, believed to be the master minds behind these criminal activities yesterday, 08 March 2022, in Section Street, Mkhaza, Khayelitsha.
The members pounced on the suspects while they were busy with a vehicle that was reported stolen in Durbanville in February 2022. During the search of the premises the members found number plates, cellular telephones, multiple tools and a VIN number stencil on the premises. The suspects were arrested and detained on charges of possession of presumed stolen property and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
They are due to appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates court on Thursday, 10 March 2022 on the mentioned charges.
