SAPS members are deployed in Strandfontein Road in Grassy Park to police a service delivery related protest action. Fast food outlets in the area have been vandalised and cases of public violence are being investigated. No arrests have been made as yet. Our members will remain in the area until law and order have been restored.
The circumstances surrounding an attempt to gain access to an ATM with an explosive device at a garage in Nyanga during the early hours of this morning are being investigated. The suspects fled empty handed after detonating the device. They are yet to be arrested. Police investigations continue.
