The Grandson Of The Man Who Started Apartheid Will Reportedly Be In Parliament. His grandfather is called the “Architect of Apartheid” because of his participation in forming the start of the apartheid policy.
The grandchild of the late Hendrik Verwoerd, Doctor Wynand Boshoff, will reportedly make his debut in the South African Parliament. He will reportedly head into the Parliament as a member of the freedom Font Plus (Vryheids Front Plus). Doctor Wynand Boshoff is the child of the Orania founder and the Vryheids Front Plus leader in the Northern Cape, Professor Carel Boshoff.
His grandfather is called the “Architect of Apartheid” because of his participation in forming the start of the apartheid policy. Verwoed started the policy when he was the minister of native affairs and the prime minister of the pre-apartheid South Africa. He was heard calling the segregation a policy of good neighbourliness.
The grandson of Hendrik Verwoerd reportedly had a chance of getting a seat in the South African Parliament after the 8 May elections this year (2019). The party has had an increase in the number of seats they have this year. The party increased from 0.9% in 2014 to 2.38% in 2019. Doctor Boshoff was a representative of the Sol Plaatjie municipality in the Northern Cape.
Die Burger says that he was part of the researchers of the Vryheids Front Plus. His father Carel Boshoff was the leader of the “Orania beweging” a movement in Orania until 2007. He then fell ill, making him handover his leadership duties to Wynand Boshoff’s brother, Carel Boshoff IV. The father then reached his demise in 2011.
