Alexander Imich’s niece he died on Sunday (08.06.14) at his home in Manhattan.
Karen Bogen admits his health started declining two weeks ago to the point where he couldn’t recognise her.
Imich was born in 1903 in a town in Poland and with his wife he left after the Nazis invaded in 1939 and moved to the US in 1951.
He previously admitted both his genes and a healthy lifestyle have helped him live for so long.
