SPRINGFONTEIN – Three suspects were apprehended on Saturday evening, 23 July 2022, for possession of suspected stolen copper cable.
Springfontein Station Commander, Captain Roelf Visser and his visible policing members, manned a roadblock on the N1 just outside Springfontein. At about 21:05, the team stopped a white Toyota Hilux bakkie. Upon searching it, police found 95 rolls of copper cable valued at approximately R 500 000-00. The suspects aged between 40 and 44 were apprehended for possession of stolen copper cable. Police confiscated the stolen copper and the white bakkie.
The trio will appear before Springfontein Magistrate’s Court soon facing charges of possession of stolen copper cable.
