EASTERN CAPE – Centane police arrested three (3) men aged 24, 30 and 65 for house robbery and possession of unlicensed fire arms and ammunition on Sunday,16 August 2020 at about 19h30 near Holela Village, Centane.
The arrest was effected after police followed intelligence driven information about a house robbery that was in progress at Lalo Locality, Cebe Village, Centane on Sunday, 16 August 2020 during the evening.
The suspects tried to escape but police chased and stopped the three vehicles that were used in the attempted escape. Furthermore, police recovered two unlicensed pistols with 26-live rounds of ammunition, three magazines, three cellphones and undisclosed amount of money.
The suspects will appear before the Centane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 18 August 2020.
